Frequently Asked Questions :
What is a Tiny House ? - A Tiny House refers to a house that is under 500 sqf, with the sub-category of THOW, or Tiny House on Wheels, which is usually under 300 sqf due to it's width/height restrictions.
How much does a Tiny House cost ? - Depending on house length, custom design, and materials choice, it can vary greatly from 30k-100k.
Where can I park a Tiny House ? - There are several options for this now, the easiest being RV parks or campgrounds. If you don't mind being off-grid, you can be in rural land with relaxed zoning laws and have no issues...but generally it can be parked wherever the zoning allows for trailer/RV parking...legal occupancy is still a grey area, so some discretion is advised in a residential township, and you could be asked to move...good thing it's portable ! There is a growing movement for a new legal housing category for tiny homes that would distinguish them from RV's, as being movable but not for recreation. Can I get insurance for my Tiny House ? - Yes, Foremost has a solid Tiny House insurance program now in most states, which you can qualify for with RVIA or NOAH certification (which we can comply with). Now there are more options with policies from all-state and Martin burlingame in most states.
